Oh, my solution?
First, secure the border. That’s the sine qua non.
Then, begin identifying and deporting aliens here illegally.
Finally, start *fining* employers using illegal aliens and enforce payment of the fines.
The problem we have now is, now they don’t think we’re serious, and they’re right.
We just have to get serious. Trump sounds serious.

Since something on the order of 40% of the illegals didn’t swim the Rio Grande, but rather came here on tourist visas and just didn’t go home. Seems like we should have some record of these people, and they would not likely be able to get a hearing before being deported. That coupled with e-verify, and a lot of them would go voluntarily.
