Donald Trump expected to appear on Rolling Stone (cover)
CNN ^

Posted on 08/23/2015 9:47:20 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

The iconic music and culture magazine is planning to feature Trump on the cover of its next issue, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

A Rolling Stone spokeswoman declined to comment. The magazine's plans are always subject to change until the issue goes to the printing presses. But the sources said the Trump issue will come out in early September.

The cover is another coup for the Republican presidential candidate, since it often features rock stars and since founder and publisher Jann Wenner is a longtime supporter of Democrats.

(P)ublisher Jann Wenner is a longtime supporter of Democrats.

So he is running a long time Democrat’s picture on the cover. How is that news ... unless Wenner is going to run a story making allegations of how Trump has continuously psychologically “raped” wymyn from when he was in college to the present.

RS is solidly in the WGAS category, so outside of a few FR threads, it’s probably trivial.

Yeah he’ll be on the cover, but probably with a title like “The New Face of Republican Racism” or something similarly negative.

RS is a hard-core leftist rag, if they’re willing to publish lies about campus rape and no one on their staff was punished, why wouldn’t they bash Republicans?

Their hit job will be stealthy:

On the surface they’ll make it appear to seem IN PRAISE of him, but they’ll make a maximal effort to caste him as a pop culture, aw-shucks type novelty.

The ACTUAL objective will be to make people scoff at him, not take him seriously.

They can’t ignore him, they can’t openly ATTACK him, as they wish.

So they’ll stealthily try to DIMINISH him, get people to excuse him away and NOT VOTE FOR HIM.

That’s the key thing for them.

DONALD IS HUUUUUUGELY THREATENING TO THEM.

They didn’t foresee a threat of his nature.

Their message will be something like:

"Shucks, we just LOVE the Don..! He's the most endearing COMEDIAN the country has ever seen..! Like Robin Williams picked up some policy papers and made a side-splitting routine out of them. WE LOVE THAT OLE LUNK..!!!! Isn't he great..! Get a load of him..!!!"

And there will be this eery laugh-track, Scooby-Doo bananaPeelSlip sorta playing in the background, with every sentence.

Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show in 1972 released "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone". It's the metaphor used to describe success for a Rock and Roll band.

Maybe one has to be a peer to appreciate Mr. Trump's humor. He's totally disrupting a very rigid, boring and predictable process, just like it's 1968 all over again. He swooped down on a state fair in his shiny helicopter like Superman and gave kids free rides. He posed for pictures with a real live American Eagle. He had 30,000 attend a rally to cheer him on opening night for HS football in Alabama. And not only that, he brings Jeff Sessions along to share in the cheers! (revenge of the nerds?) This week there's talk he might be on "The Cover of the Rolling Stone". And if we're really lucky, he'll get to clean up the WH after eight years of IDIOCRACY.

Folks, Trump is having fun. He's fulfilling all of these fantasies kids have. If he saves the US in the process, so much the better.

If they want to publish a story based on an interview. You can bet that Trump will have his lawyers sign off on every word and picture.

Without an interview, all they have is secondhand information that's already out in the media.

I think what Rolling Stone is trying to do is cash in on the circulation dough that Trump brings. You know they are in financial doldrums since the UVA rape story.

He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (for being himself)
He is in the Wrestling Association Hall of Fame
And now he’s on the cover of THE ROLLING STONE
Sounds like he’s been busy for years expanding his base

Trump won’t get suckered. He knows media and Rolling Stone. There are some agreements in there for him to appear. He won’t look bad.

The cover is another coup for the Republican presidential candidate, since it often features rock stars...

Oh, really? Is there any guarantee it won't be a hit piece?

...and since founder and publisher Jann Wenner is a longtime supporter of Democrats.

And the homosexual agenda.

They didn’t foresee a threat of his nature.

None of the powers that be in the media or GOPe or even the Dems saw Donald Trump coming. That's why they're all panicking and scrambling to find the perfect hit to take him down. Its fascinating to watch.
