Well certainly the biggest losers with the Mexican invasion were blacks. Jobs that should have gone to blacks went,by default, to immigrants.
And I heard a black woman wail that when immigrants break the law, nothing happens. “But when one of our boys breaks the law, they go to jail”.
"Or, gets shot!" (Note the quotation marks).

Unfortunately, when the Blacks here in California protested the Bracero Program back in the ‘60’s and the program ( which allowed Mexican Nationals work permits to come here to work in agriculture on a seasonal basis) was terminated, the Blacks didn’t show up for what is best described as back breaking work. They were already pretty much on the dole and the idea of hard work was thus not appealing to them. What followed, was the invasion born of necessity in order to get the necessary labor. But it didn’t stop with farmworkers.
