Trump's thinking like a businessman. He's looking at issues that have the highest percentage of changing. He's asking us to think analytically about where the greatest good can be done in the shortest amount of time to save the US.

Every time, we get wrapped up in the social issues. We even WON on most of the social issues. And what happened? The courts overturned it.

Exactly, grania. The problem isn’t even with the president. The problem is with the Congress & with the SCOTUS. Trump (or any other candidate running) could be as socon as possible. He still cannot do it alone.

Who says the courts won’t overturn victories on *any* issue? Federal courts have made voting an exercise in futility. I still vote, but I’ve learned to expect no significant worthwhile results from it. Why do I still vote? Because it still seems to be the right thing to do. And because people won’t take me seriously in political discussions if I don’t.
