Bangkok bomb probe: Foreign man but no international terrorism
Police said they suspect plot involved at least 10 people and say Chinese victims were not specific target
BANGKOKThai authorities gave confusing statements about the Bangkok bombing investigation Thursday, with a military spokesman saying they believe the attack wasnt the work of international terrorists a day after police issued an arrest warrant for the prime suspect that described him as a foreign man.
Three days after the attack at a revered shrine in central Bangkok killed 20 people, authorities appeared to have few solid leads into the perpetrators of the deadliest attack in Thailands recent history. Police said they suspect the plot involved at least 10 people but described that figure as theoretical.

Bombing the Erewan Shrine and attempting to kill passengers on a water taxi indicates a strike on the economy, in particular the tourist sector. It must be noted that there are no claims of responsibility which makes Islamic involvement less likely. If it wasn’t for the video evidence of a foreigner, internal politics would be most likely. What is publicly known is confusing.
