It will take awhile for more evidence, but here is another study that suggests e-cigs are a gate-way to addiction.

Correlation does not equal causation.

Of course you have to take into account that liberals lie, always and about everything.

Smoking may reduce life expectancy by a few years but it has never sent anyone to hell, just to heaven a little earlier.

Homosexuality reduces life expectancy to 45yrs and abortion life expectancy of -1. Unrepented Homosexuality and Abortion have sent many to hell in a handbasket.

Which one should we focus on?

Well... I smoked cigarettes for over 35 years.

Last September 5th, I vaped for the first time.

I have NOT HAD A CIGARETTE since then! I would literally KILL someone who tried to take my vaping equipment away from me!

And yes. I feel much, much better.

And its a gateway out.

In any case, its a free country or its not a free country. Unless its an immediate danger to the user or the people around him, it shouldn’t be the government’s business.

Of course, I feel the same way about cigarettes and cigars. Not an immediate danger, and in a free country they are not the government’s business.

The authoritarians are bird-dogging innocent people again.

The nazis'll never have enough control over our lives.

D'uh.

One thing about the "gateway" idea: Can't you go either way through a gate? If crowds moving from tobacco to e-cigs vastly outnumber those going the other way from e-cigs to tobacco, what then?

For me, tobacco was a gateway to e-cigs.

It took 40 years, but I’m much happier and healthier for it.

Another study publicized to influence behavior, or more likely, justify taxes on a new device.

Years ago, my wife was shown “Reefer Madness” in junior high health class, as a serious and informative health documentary.

Frankly, I don’t see why nicotine should be outlawed. Smoking is a nasty, carcinogenic form of delivery, but e-cigs appear to be innocuous. I know a neurotic chain smoker who has almost entirely switched over from cancer sticks to E-cigs for health reasons. I don’t see why e-cigs should be a gateway to anything (except perhaps “vaping” of other materials, which again is an improvement over combusting them).

I’ve been transitioning to e-cigs because as substitutes go they’re the closest you can get to the real thing. I’m under no illusions that inhaling antifreeze is good for me, but I’m now breathing easier, cough less and have a lot more energy.

Even you, someone not exactly known for either intellectual honesty, or even capacity, should be ashamed at citing a study with such a flawed conclusion.

"The study, which surveyed 14-year-olds in the ninth grade at 10 Los Angeles high schools, found that the kids who smoked e-cigarettes were 22.7 percent more likely to smoke combustible cigarettes the following year. "

The most likely explanation for this is that people who have a tendency to experiment with one activity, have a higher tendency to experiment with other activities. It shows ABSOLUTELY no causation (and, therefore, no "gateway").

Just because idiots at "thehill.com" fall for this type of pseudo-science, doesn't mean that normal people will.

Repeat: no causation - no gateway. And this study found no causation, at all. The worst science, which you are well familiar with, starts with breaking the cardinal rule of science: correlation does not imply causation.

Sure - talk about anything, anything other than the genuine threats in this country, i.e. terrorists living among us and Obama bringing more in by the month, a thirty year invasion from our Southern Border, along with the drug cartels who kill people and chop them up, not to mention PP killing babies in the womb and chopping them up to sell, ramped up murder in the black and minority communities where police are now told to quit harassing the perps, I could go on but you get the idea.

Then let's talk about smoking POT, no one seems to wonder what the serious health risks are there for say the smoker, second hand hazards for anyone present when pot is smoked - nope it's E Cigarettes that's out to endanger everyone!

That same 20% would have found their way to cigarettes anyway. Both are illegal for them to buy.

about 30years ago in Europe they did a study of Heroin Addicts, the study set out to prove that Marijuana was the real gateway drug to harder drugs, funny thing happened when they interviewed these people, almost none of them EVER SMOKED WEED, But Every Last one of them Smoked Cigarettes and Drank Alcohol. Study was subsequently buried and not widely publicized.

At least half of the strip shopping centers in my town have Vape stores where the liquid “smoking” product is mixed on-site.

Regulation will wipe out most of them.
