It may be true that Trump’s plan is unrealistic. The Mexican’s, for instance, are unlikely to pay for the wall. It is unlikely that we’ll be able to find all illegals and deport all of them. However, Trump’s plan is the ideal, the goal that we should be striving toward. The fact that it is not completely feasible in all detail does not mean it’s a bad plan.
For instance, the criticism of the idea that we should deport all illegals from the US is that it would be impossible to do so. Consider though, changing illegals to robbers and deport to lock up in jail. Would anyone really be questioning a politician whose stated goal was to lock up all robbers in jail? That would be equally infeasible, but it is no less a worthy goal because of the infeasibility.
Some people look at things as they could be, and ask Why not?’
