Earthquake on Hayward fault. I'm in San Francisco. Seemed stronger than 4.2 from that distance.

It was at least that 4.2, but I am very close to the epi. In Lafayette, right on the other side of the hill.

By the Lake in Oakland, this one seemed a lot bigger than that 6.0 we had a while back.

Felt it here in Pacheco that it made me jump right out of the bed and grab my robe - for incase. I don’t think I want to run outside naked. LOL

I’ve read that the depth of the quake can make a big difference in what you feel.

You can sign up with USGS and get all quake notifications for the state. There, you will find the data connected with the depth of the quake.

Interesting. For the previous seven or so days the west coast didn't see any temblors of 2.5 or higher. Now two 4 pointers in a single day.

Yeah, I have that too: “worldwide” - but if you want to be notified of quakes, you have to sign up.
