I don’t believe there will be time to develop the needed skill sets. With electro-mechanical mechanization down harvesting crops will be virtually impossible. Transportation will be down anyway. Where will water come from? There will be no electricity to run them. How about gas and diesel stations. No power no pumps. No refineries. These are just quick thought. I think 90% causality rate is ball park. If 0 is in office I believe he will not respond to defend the country.

I’m most certain the power companies, under probably sealed federal orders and payment, have been installing surge sink stations and equipment nation-wide for years. You’ll notice them along (lower) high voltage 3-phase runs everywhere, where they never were just a couple years ago. The 90% dead within a year is now probably not going to happen as power won’t be out nationally, just locally and spotty. Project Starfish provided more propaganda fuel than reality requirements for prevention.

That was one of the reasons they ceased atmospheric testing. These test were also performed before the electronic age—today 90% of all electronics would fail. People think only of computers, but almost all major systems have embedded electronics these days.
