I think the headline is misleading [read: Incorrect].
I’m pretty sure he was fired for writing an app that utilized/exploited the anti-privacy “flaw”, as opposed to simply pointing it out.

I’m pretty sure he was fired for writing an app that utilized/exploited the anti-privacy “flaw”, as opposed to simply pointing it out. Yes, he wrote an app that exposed the flaw, in a way that made it impossible to ignore, and which forced facebook to make an immediate fix.
