While this is not strictly speaking an event (yet), the gauntlet has been thrown by both sides. Useful idiots from the Left have demonstrated they have the resolve to disrupt national candidates; and a national candidate responds with defiance.
Regarding Homer's comment, bear this in perspective: the first enagagement of the Civil War was April 1861 - the first major battle between armies was in July 1861, a three-month delay for forces to marshall and deploy. Between those dates, there were numerous small skirmishes and engagements. We have been seeing the exact same thing in these recent times.
What beter way to kick things off, than riots spawned by a high-profile incident (maybe involving guns)...
