uncharacteristic humidity and July rainfall.

Not unusual at all.

Having spent my life in the construction business, the remnants of Mexican hurricanes comes through so. California pretty regurally during the last 75 years.

I didn't remember anything like that and I've been here a half century. The rainfall in July was said to be a record. We are also an a cycle with the sun that usually preceded mini ice ages; so IMO opinion something this way comes.💦💨💦💨💦

Rain in July in Southern California is not unusual?

I have no idea where your getting that, but it’s nearly unheard of here.
