EPA Employees Load Obama, Dems With Dough
The Daily Caller ^ | August 11, 2015 | KATHRYN WATSON

Environmental Protection Agency employees are supposed to work in a non-partisan way but that hasn’t kept them from donating more than a quarter of a million dollars to Democrats in recent elections, a Daily News Caller Foundation analysis has found.

Data compiled by OpenSecrets.org shows that in the 2012 and 2014 election cycles, contributors who listed EPA as their employer gave 90 percent, or $331,174, of their total federal campaign donations to Democrats, and just nine percent, or $32,891, to Republicans.

Those numbers may actually understate the number of EPA employees making political contributions because the analysis doesn’t include those who did not report the agency as their employer to the Federal Election Commission.

President Barack Obama, who has issued new EPA regulations equivalent to the length of 43 Bibles, has especially benefited from employee donations. In the 2012 election cycle, EPA workers contributed $167,000 to Obama’s re-election campaign.

Government employees should be allowed to vote for, but not allowed to buy their bosses.

What are they worried about ???? 99% of the candidates both Democratic or Republican completely and totally support the EPA and for that matter so do the Supremes. Their jobs are more secure than a tenured college prof chasing coeds.

Who would seek a job with the EPA besides someone who thought that government was the world’s savior?

I think you could make a big step toward fixing this country just by saying that government employees don’t get to have unions, donate to campaigns, or vote.

“Who would seek a job with the EPA besides someone who thought that government was the world’s savior?”

I know Conservative people who went to work for the EPA,,, as a resume’ enhancer. In future job interviews they could say, “I worked for the EPA. I know how to handle them.” Not that uncommon in certain fields, for instance, working at utilities.

I’d let ‘em have the option to union....For those entities that are Constitutionally authorized

So, taxpayers, whose $$ are thieved to pay for these illegal (see above) ‘workers’ (PLUS hefty benefits, again paid by...), turn around and ‘donate’ to the party of...BIG govt.

I’m not so much pissed off at the latter, it is expected. It’s knowing that, in the end, it’s *OUR* (my) $$ going to people I would never give it to willfully; hence, the obvious ‘answer’...

Lottery employees and their families can probably buy all the tickets they want. But they're probably ineligible to win, which surely reduces any incentive they may have to play. Dependent on and varying with state law governing each lottery, of course...

Is there a way one can find out the annual budgets of all these “necessary” agencies?
