I have what may be a really stupid question.

Why would Russia ally with islamic terrorists when they are trying to eliminate the same bunch from their own nation?

Money. Russia also thinks they can use these mouth breathers to further quicken our demise as a super power and then they will handle their own problem with them. They learned nothing from Afghanistan circa 1908’s.

Like Obama, the Russians see Iran as the dominant power in the Middle East.

The Chechens are overwhelmingly Sunni Muslims while Iran is mostly Shia.

It all comes down to oil and natural gas.

The Saudis and Qataris want to build a series of pipeline through to the Mediterranean Sea, primarily to cheaply transfer natural gas to Europe and Turkey.

This pipeline would go through Iraq and Syria and use Syrian port facilities as a shipping point.

Russia has a natural gas monopoly in East and West Europe , the revenues for which are propping up the Russian economy.

The only obstacle to the pipeline is Syria will not allow access for the pipeline because they are allied with Russia and Russia is propping up Assad in Syria to keep the pipeline from crossing Syria so as not to undermine Russia's energy monopoly in Europe.

ISIS is backed by the Middle East Oil States, although it is becoming a bit of a Frankenstein's Monster that is becoming a threat to them as well.

Syria is being propped up by Iranian forces so Russia is backing up Iran to help them keep the oil states tied down with problems.

Russia also gets lots of business from Iran due to the sanctions and the freeing of frozen American funds will be a huge boon to Russia resulting in tens of billions of dollars in revenues.

It's a very dangerous game because all sides are fanning the flames of war in the region

maybe they're not

The world is coelescing against Christianity and Conservative thinking/government

Whether queers or blacks or wymin ... it's all the same ... those damned Christians or those damned Conservatives

I saw global halucinatory madness once before ... in the sixties .....

US involvement in Viet Nam

It didn't matter WHAT country LIFE magazine went to .... hippies in beads and colors, smokin' the same dope, wearin' the same uniform sayin' the same thing ...

Get The US Out Of Viet Nam

Today, it's the same thing only different.

well, the Islamic terrorists who have been attacking the West, Russia, India, Philippines are all Sunni monsters.

These same Sunnis attack Shias - and Iran is the Shia champion.
