One of Cecil the lion's cubs has reportedly been killed by a rival male who was trying to mate with his mother.
Cecil, a 13-year-old lion who was beloved by visitors and park rangers at his home in Zimbabwe, was killed last month by an American dentist on a hunting trip.
The death of one of Cecil's eight cubs has raised fears for his remaining offspring, which could also be targeted by the large predatory male lion.

Why don’t we give this one a name too? Humanize it and get attached to it like Cecil the Lion? Let’s call him “Buddy the Lion”. So cute, adorable Buddy the Lion killed Cecil the Lion’s cub and then mated with Cecil’s former mate. Why don’t we go to the next step and say that Buddy “married” Cecil’s former “wife.” Aww. Isn’t that adorable!!!
Kidding aside, the way the press has tried to humanize this Cecil the Lion is ridiculous. Its a wild animal that would have killed some other lion’s cub if he had the chance. It’s an ANIMAL.
To kill or not to kill the rival male lion. Sometimes liberals are presented with these tough decisions. It’s a lose-lose situation.

Who cares? Lions do this all the time. They are LIONS. Lions don’t have “names”. They’d just as soon kill you as look at you. The people in zimbabwe think we are idiots.

Until Cecil was killed, the lions and all of the other animals in Africa lived in perfect peace and harmony with one another. Now, with the death of Cecil, the entire continent is descending into chaos.
My vote is "yes!" The old order's time is past.
Why should nature prevail?
The remaining 7 cubs deserve a chance to live.
After all, who knows better how to micromanage all of nature than arrogant, ignorant really stupid, really young, or really old, or really stoned people, who mean well?

And it is criminal to humanize and domesticate a lion. Who are the people playing with the lion? They are making the lion feel downright welcome in the village. Bad zimbobwe juju.
Cecil was named after Cecil Rhodes. Why not name the new cub-daddy after a famous mountaineer, like Edmund Hillary?

Does anyone out there work for G.E.? If you do send this to R&D...program those 3D sonogram machines to make unborn babies to look like lion cubs. Maybe then Planned Parenthood would then be look at like the soulless murders they are.
