Georgia was one of the last bastions of sanity.

The REAL Stars and Bars of the Confederacy:

Georgia's current flag:

We snuck one past 'em.

By any yardstick, a 30-point victory [by Nikki Haley] is a freakin’ LANDSLIDE!

The political establishment has been administered a major butt-kicking. Not only did Nikki thrash the party-endorsed gubernatorial candidate, but Trey Gowdy knocked off incumbent congressman Bob Inglis.

With the exception of the inexplicable election of Pansy Graham, South Carolinians are leading the way in dismantling the corrupt culture of incumbency.

What a great day for the Palmetto State!

The full FR thread from which I snipped that post admiring Governor Haley is: Nikki Haley makes history. Also, unless the poster changed his/her mind, consider this analysis:

Nikki Haley is the real deal.

I think she’s future Presidential material. Extreme fiscal conservative, pro-life, pro-second amendment, daughter of immigrants (Indian), sharp, smart, articulate and very camera-friendly (good looking). posted on 5/14/2010, 1:18:12 PM by fullchroma

The REAL Stars and Bars of the Confederacy

That's the flag of the South that I very much like as well as the Bonnie Blue flag. To the best of my knowledge, neither one was embraced by the 'RATs as part of their campaign material.

Does anyone know, what’s happening with civil war battle re-enactors who represent Confederate units ... will they be allowed anymore to carry historical flags and unit banners? For that matter, isn’t the gray uniform symbolic??

When I was a kid(I'm 59 now) Lincolns birthday and Washington's were two separate holidays.

The two holidays have been struck from the official calendar and replaced with the innocuous term "state holiday."

So now Georgia has a State Holiday to celebrate state holidays?
