The Turkish state-run Anatolia news agency has on Sunday reported that 390 members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have been killed in the two weeks of airstrikes since the Ankara government announced it was launching operations against the PKK and Islamic State (IS).

Good thing we are financing this atrocity. NOT! Obama is the enemy.

The PKK are Communists. They’re not “our” Kurds.

Most ppl who are in PKK can’t commies. They’re OUR Kurds that are fighting in Syria’s Kobani. Now that they’re gaining advantage in the fight against ISIS, Turks step in to crush them

Thanks for clarifying this. You're correct.

Number one, that figure of 400 sounds suspiciously like a Vietnam War type body count, i.e. pure guesswork on the high side of reality. And two, the PKK and the Kurds in general are not going to sit idly by and be slaughtered without responding. A revival of the 1980's attacks when Turkey was being ruled by a military junta is almost a certainty.

I remember flying in and out of Ankara Airport six months after an Armenian group killed nine people there, August 7, 1982. Flight out delayed in late evening and nothing much to do but take some fresh air in a dimly lit open central court. I surprised a couple soldiers walking round the courtyard and got M1's leveled at me and a barked command in Turkish. I put up my hands and said "Americali!" to avoid getting shot. Tense times, and if Ankara thinks they can kill Kurds with impunity they're going to come back.

The tortured, hounded, harried Iraqi Christians have been friendless. Almost totally friendless in this corrupt and weary world.

Except for the Kurds. Despite being landless and largely luckless, as far as I know, the Kurds been the best allies the Iraqi Christians ever had.

So, naturally, Obama is going to help Turkey kill the Kurds.

I just don´t get it.
