Trump the agnostic
American Thinker ^ | Robert Klein Engler

Posted on 08/09/2015 6:04:33 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

In her recent column Trump the Disrupter, Maureen Dowd wrote, “…Trump can go badly astray, as he did with the president’s birth certificate.”

Astray? Here’s what Trump said about Obama’s birth certificate when asked in a recent interview by Anderson Cooper on CNN:

Cooper asked: “Do you accept that President Obama was born in the United States?”

“I really don’t know,” Trump responded. “I don’t know why he wouldn’t release his records; but, honestly, I don’t want to get into it.”

Before shifting to a different topic…Trump rebutted with a few facts on the subject.

“Do you know that Hillary Clinton was a birther? She wanted those records and fought like hell,” he said. “People forgot…”

“I really don’t know.”

Given what we do know and the documents released, this seems to be the most honest and reasonable answer anyone can say about the documents he has released to prove he is a natural born citizen.

At least Trump did not prevaricate about the issue. He said he really didn’t know. That’s far different from Bill O’Reilly, who actually claimed to have seen the Obama Birth document when it was impossible to do so.

Maureen Dowd has about as much credibility as Megan Kelly, maybe a touch more.

Common sense tells you that when someone goes to such great lengths to hide something, they have something important to hide. Since he has only produced forgeries, the worst can be assumed.

Not to mention the unexplained SS# in his possession from a dead woman (if I remember correctly) from Connecticut.

The more one looks into it, the more reasonable Donald Trump is shown to be. The fact he doesn’t take any sh!t bothers a lot people.

“I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”

Good Article...and we still don’t know if he was just a ‘foreign exchange student’ from Kenya or did he really obtain citizenship into the United States...will we ever know for sure?

The Donald knows something about this, but like the businessman he is, he’s holding it very close to his vest and when the time comes, he’ll let us all know...

I liked the way Donald came out the other night in the debates and made the comment about most of the people on this stage has asked me for money and I have given them money, the look on the faces were frightening to say the least...he was showing what he knows is powerful and can destroy you in a second...don’t cross him....

The way he shut down Megan was another ploy of his, he nips it in the bud and with enough force of saying....don’t go any further or you will regret it...this is businessman politics and no one can play them better than the Donald...

Trump is a Presbyterian and in an interview mentioned how taking communion makes him feel refreshed. He has also talked of belief in God shows there are greater things.

Trump should stick to this answer on obama’s birth. No records, can’t say

This article doesn't bash Trump.

The title is misleading, but it was meant to describe Trump's response to the question of “Do you accept that President Obama was born in the United States?”

His response: “I really don’t know”...

Forgiveness, confession and repentance are all central to Christianity.

That was my olny point ... there seemed to be no religious reference in the article

As pointed out ... My speed reading missed that line about God and decision making.

“Do you know that Hillary Clinton was a birther? She wanted those records and fought like hell,” he said. “People forgot…”

Thanks for the reminder.

THAT'S why the Men Seeking Men mediums don't want The Donald to go head-to-head with The Hildebeast. He will remind everyone she is the one who started the whole birth certificate thing.

I think Engler is trying out a creative new use for the word “agnostic,” in reference to Trump’s lack of a solid stated belief or disbelief in Obama’s birth stories. Trump is agnostic in regard to Obama’s birth.

The part that explains the title:
"Give Donald Trump credit. He does not act on faith. He’s an agnostic when it comes to Obama."

Who cares what Maureen Dowd an avowed leftist thinks or says about any Republican presidential candidate?

Rebutting facts is futile. Facts are facts. If you “rebut” facts you are either ignorant or a liar.
