Kasich is just another liberal Yankee Republican; what else could you expect from him?

Medicare and Medicaid are already eating up huge portion of state budgets and with the baby boomers starting to flood the Medicare/Medicaid rolls this portion of the states’ budgets is growing every year without the expansion.

What does Medicare have to do with state budgets?

And he will not let you forget, his dad was a mailman. I am still trying to figure out why he keeps throwing that statement out there?
Anyway, he is just another FNC toy. I had my fill and have not forgot watching his nonsense on FNC before he ran for Governor of Ohio.

I guess you got me there.

But in the larger scheme of thing it is all our money and whether it is the Fed of State that takes it from us it is our money.

And the Medicare and Social Security will take down the Federal Government while Medicaid takes down the States.

All of these politicians (excepting Trump) want us to think they are regular guys who understand our problems.

Trying to compare themselves to Lincoln coming from a log cabin.

Kasich being a career politician; I don’t believe it for a second. Just more campaign strategy designed to elicit sympathy for the candidate.

Just like Clinton feeling our pain.

Is any current mainstream candidate advocating doing away with Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid? I really doubt it.

Be fun to watch him defend it in a few years when the seed money from the Feds for expanding Medicaid stops flowing and Ohioans start paying the full bill.....

Well not if they want to get elected.

But the programs will have to be dealt with sooner or later. Medicare is hugely underfunded and it is getting worse by the year.

Social Security is not bringing in enough contributions from working people to pay current recipients and so is being supplemented out of general revenue.

We are Greece with the exception that we get loans at the prime rate because no one willing to let us fail “yet”

I would imagine he would use the same arguments he did in the article.

Federal revenue sharing, brought to use by Richard Nixon, has been far more damaging to the republic than the Watergate scandal.

Programs like Medicaid lets Washington’s hand reach in to states and manipulate the states like marionette dolls.

It’s really sad. I had such hope for him back when he was in the House ways and means committee.

Somewhere along the line Kasich drank the liberal Kool-Aid. Pity, but he did have promise at one time. He doesn’t any longer and has become just another RINO at the public trough.
