While working on my MBA I wrote numerous papers on Wal-Mart and Target. The average income of a Wal-Mart shopper was $25k. The average income of a Target shopper was $75k. When I did my own research I talked to Target customers. They were as liberal as your average college educated yuppie. Target may actually not be pissing these people off as they are not typical shoppers. They’re more the Starbucks latté crowd.

Yep. As someone who occasionally goes to Target, i certainly wasn’t troubled about anything with the way the Men’s and Women’s dept was labeled. I doubt anyone else was either.
