Lavauntai?? Sounds Finnish—but of course I know it isn’t. Maybe, just maybe, if little what-his-name was given a less “urban” moniker by his moms, he might still be with us.

This really irritates me. Just read the weapon's manual.

Broadbent, the alias used by ‘Anikin Skywalker’ who lead the police on a chase....hmmm, the plot thickens...

The term “teens” seems to be overdone. Instead of masking the negritude of the perps it has come to advertise it. So the stylebook must change yet again.

Wow I am just surprised you could find a CCW carrier in St. Paul. If his name gets out, at least the dentist who shot Cecil will get a break.

I didn’t used to carry with a round chambered but a couple of incidents convinced me that you probably will need that 2 seconds as these things happen fast.
I have never ever carried with an empty chamber. To do so is to invite disaster. Gunfights are over usually in less than 3 seconds, and an average draw and fire is 1 to 1.5 seconds. You going to throw chambering a round into that? Unless it is a piece of crap gun, it is designed to be carried with a round in the chamber.

It’s not such a good idea to not have one in the chamber. But if you must, then there are techniques that you can learn to rack the slide with one hand...

This shooting happened two blocks from where my office was in St. Paul.
Things seem to have gone downhill since ‘97...
