NASA informed lawmakers on Wednesday that because Congress has failed to fully fund its Commercial Crew Program for the last five years, it is signing a $490 million contract extension with Russia to send Americans to space.

The new contract, running through 2019, means that NASA will continue to depend on Russia to get its astronauts to space even as tensions between Washington and Moscow escalate. Geez. Will this cut into the push to prove that climate change is a threat to all mankind? And what about the muzzie outreach initiative? Not the same NASA that put men on the moon. (or did they?)

We went from a nation that put men on the moon with a slide rule, staring down a evil empire, and curing countless diseases to a neutered pack of metro-sexual losers that care more about where a homo can stick his willy.

It breaks my heart that this happened in under 30 or so years. We had a good run.

As someone who grew up with the Apollo launches, I grieve for the nation.

As someone who worked on the shuttle for 36 years, I had a front row seat in watching the slide down the slope. Purty durn sad.

So if my boss turns down my raise request, I can just go down to payroll and cut myself a check?
Just like the pResident. And Congress does nothing. No surprises here: 535 empty suits.

Shucks. Why not. And, even though I don’t work there it’s probably only “fair” that they cut one for me too. :>}
