A lesbian couple scrawled homophobic abuse on their garage before burning down their own house in Tennessee then calling it a hate crime, a court ruled.
Carol Ann and Laura Jean Stutte reduced their own house to a pile of charred rubble in September 2010 and branded their neighbor a homophobe in order to get the $276,000 insurance pay out.
But insurers American National Property and Casualty Company caught on to the ruse and accused the couple of faking the fire.

Because in all reality, the truth is that there isn't nearly the amount of "hate" claimed by the homosexuals. Conservatives don't "hate" homosexuals. Are there some out there that are completely bigoted and would do harm to them? Absolutely, and they must be dealt with on an individual basis. But overall, the truth is that - especially Conservatives - most of us believe and live by basic religious and American principles of live and let live. We may not agree with the lifestyle, but we love the sinner, hate the sin. The homosexual agenda COULD NOT, under any circumstances, advance as far as it has without the manufactured hate.
Were they in foreclosure? Lots of people who are pull this stunt. If I can’t have it no EEEEEEEEVIL bank can have it either. I know a guy whose cousin is in jail for doing it.
Homeowners insurance does not payout $ just because your house burned down or was damaged. It pays to contractors to replace or repair the home.
Hopefully they get sued for this too.
The question is.....Are they going to be charged with arson.
My money is on..’NO’.

Were I the neighbor they accused, I’d be having my day in court with them. They should be jailed for anything he would have been jailed for, if convicted.
Back in the mid-1990s....we had a upscale hotel in the village (Sembach, Germany). Gal who owned it....bought it with expectations of growing it, and never achieved anything. One night around Xmas....it burned to the ground. Cops got called in and barely took two weeks to establish that she did it. I think that she got a year or two in prison....total loss. Business was so bad....she couldn’t even sell the place.
Homeowners insurance will pay the mortgagee in cases like this, but not the owner. Up to the loan balance only.
So if these bulls owed $200,000 on a $276K house the insurance company will protect the lienholder only up to the $200K.
They should be charged with arson, attempted fraud, and also brought up on a civil libel/defamation lawsuit by their neighbour who they falsely accused. Lose every cent they have and a nice stint in the grey bar hotel - that’s what should happen.
Of course they are, they’re lesbians. ;)
