The Department of Defense prohibits all military personnel other than security forces from carrying arms while on base unless they are in a combat zone.
oxymoron

I think those in the white hut have a drinking game going on for “work Place Violence” and “Black Lives Matter” killings. So Lt Cmdr White has the wrong last name and killed the W-Hut buzz so they were going to destroy him till they sobered up.

I understand not wanting general service men that are not sergeants or higher being prohibited from carrying weapons on base. I don’t understand the restraint on NCO and officers. one would think that being an officer would be enough to trust them with weapons in and around the base. and anyone who has risen to the rank of Sargent should be trusted.

Maybe Colonel West's source was right on and the Navy caved to public pressure

Possible. More likely that the good Colonel wanted a little attention.

Public pressure worked this time. Bammie is seething.

My take too. The Obama-cated Navy was stopped dead in its tracks. If they were planning on prosecuting then public pressure pre-empted this.

The left never stops. There are indications that he won’t be charged but minions will continue. He will be hounded for having the presence of mind to prepare for the conceivable. We can’t know how many lives he saved but the left won’t stop. One agenda is webbed to another like a net. The goal is total firearm control and the left encompasses the loons who abuse that. Therefor, no one else should have that right, to make it socialist “fair”.

Barry’s little boys in the Pentagon need to stop screwing over OUR NAVY guys! Americans don’t appreciate that kind of BS.

Well, elections matter and Many people tried to stop this madness. It isn’t how many vote(well it will be with no valid right) but it is who Counts the votes. We were played.

This sounds like Koskinen of the IRS assuring conservative churches they won’t risk losing their tax exempt status for “discriminating against” lesbos and sword swallowers—for now.

Anyone reading a synopsis of current events that traveled back in time to 1950—heck, 2007—would think we had all lost our minds: “Navy man faces prosecution for defending self and others from armed ‘religion of peace’ maniac who was murdering everyone he saw.”

"I think they would have prosecuted him if there hadn’t been so much backlash."

I think you're absolutely right.

He'll be dogged and watched. They'll look for any little thing to burn him. Been there.

Yes, he is good and is right to be wary of the commies currently in charge. But I can see where a RINO would have a problem with that. Since RINOs believe people should completely trust any lib and their motives.

They would have. The backlash here locally was enormous. We are very supportive of the rights of self-defense and there would have been riots if this officer had been charged.
