Bushs spokesman Freddy Ford confirmed the president was summoned for jury duty and said Bush was at the courthouse in the 600 block of Commerce Street from about 8:50 a.m. until just before noon.
Secret service could be seen outside Moyes court on the 5th floor of the courthouse.
Despite sitting through the jury selection panel, the former president was not picked to serve as a juror.

not picked to serve as a juror.
not surprising
W is a good man.
But he let the MSM pummel him bloody for 6+ years in office.
That’s why Trump is so appealing to many, I believe.
He turned the other cheek.
Here’s to nine years of memory -— I compiled this in 2006.

Here’s what a “conservative” is supposed to be?
* Doing his very best to destroy American sovereignty by melding America into Mexico into Canada???
* George W. Bush (43): “I looked the man in the eye. I was able to get a sense of his soul.
I knew that President Putin was a man with whom I could work.”
* Did nothing when his wife called a homosexual partner’s mom the “mother-in-law” ???
* Allowed the new Iraqi constitution to have a clause where no law would contradict Islam.
* Wanted to sell US port operations to Dubai - a nation that supports terror.
* Advocates a completely open border - to the detriment of national security.
* Calls the Minutemen “vigilantes”.
* Continually calls Islam a “religion of peace”.
* Pursues “free trade”, not fair trade. “Free trade” has not been very fair, so far.
* Supported Specter over Toomey.
* Told Hush to host Specter with softballs, and then Hush carries the water.
* Continually supported Linc Chaffee, and what did it win in the long run?
* Let Ted Kennedy write the education bill.
* Did nothing to rein in pork barrel government spending.
* In an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Charles Gibson, Bush said he believes that both Christians and Muslims worship the same God. “I think we do. We have different routes of getting to the Almighty,” Bush said.

* Bosh said he would do the TARP all over AGAIN!!! I guess he has no problem using communism to try to rescue the free market... (Nov. 12, 2010).
I’m listing the actions of the PRESIDENT (Bush), FYI.
Imagine Obama being called. nac
I’m guessing and hoping that former President Bush had some plainclothed protection sitting near him. We all know how violent and/or irrational liberals can become when their beliefs are challenged. Now Jimmy Carter is going to file a FOI request to find out why HE has never been called to serve on a jury too!
Although it’s very admirable for W having shown up as ordered for jury duty it could be argued that, for security reasons,he should have been exempted without being compelled to appear.and,in addition, what lawyer...particularly defense lawyer...is gonna allow him on a jury.
and we all got bludgeoned.
He is a good man, but he made a horrible mistake by not prosecuting the Clinton administrations personnel for various crimes and for ignoring the endless attacks on him.
He needed to fight back.
W Bush is too dumb to serve on a jury—your list proves it.
We all know he didnt walk on water no president is perfect. But its pretty cool to be called for jury duty along side a former president of the country.
Yeah, well. He wasn’t even close to perfect. RINO Bushes have had a major part in the destruction of this country.
Remember when the Clinton’s left the White House, and word was that some staffers had removed the letter “W” from various keyboards. Extraordinarily petty and juvenile. This may have been right before W took office, after weeks and weeks of futile recounted chads, ballots and mailed votes.
Bingo. And didn’t do anything to clean up election fraud, even after Florida 2000.
Yes, he was the village idiot from Texas. Nothing to write about. Glad to see he is doing better in retirement, the country hasn’t fully recovered and now he was followed by someone even worse. Can we say it is Bush’s fault we got Obama?
Yep: He’s doing great in retirement...saving AFRICA.
I believe your latter — though almost cliche’ — is a true statement.
Had he shown up to waste more of my time at jury duty, I’d have had words for him, not selfies.
sour grapes floweth in abundance
GW had a lot of faults and made several mistakes. He didn’t do a lot of what we wished he would have and did a lot we wished he hadn’t.
However, he had and still has more patriotism, Amercanism, moral courage and class in the very tip of his little finger than the current administration has in its entirety.
