Taxpayers to foot security bill for Hillary Clinton's Aspen fundraiser

Taxpayers should not have to pay for private political events such as the one attended by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday outside Aspen, the sheriffs of Pitkin and Garfield counties said.

“It’s uncalled for,” said Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario. “It’s abuse. It’s that political class attitude that thinks they’re entitled to consume public resources. It’s been a part of their life for so long.”

Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo agreed, saying that he’d be happy to provide security to public events. But private fundraisers, such as the one Clinton attended Tuesday that cost $2,700 a head to attend, should be paid for by the campaigns, he said.

“If she wants to go to the Red Onion and shake some hands, that’s complimentary,” DiSalvo said. “But that’s not happening.”

DiSalvo said he supplied two deputies to escort Clinton and her entourage from Rifle, where her plane landed, to Aspen and back to Rifle. Three other deputies were on hand at Tuesday’s fundraiser, held at the home of Soledad and Robert Hurst.

Robert Hurst is the former vice chairman of Goldman Sachs and the current managing director of Crestview Advisors, a New York-based investment firm.

...

DiSalvo said he first tapped the Clinton campaign and was told they don’t pay for such things. Next he asked Robert Hurst, who was receptive to possibly paying the tab but was worried that it would be considered a donation and, therefore, against campaign finance laws. ..

Later Tuesday, DiSalvo said he received a call from a Clinton campaign staffer saying Hurst couldn’t pay because it might be a campaign finance violation. The staffer also said the campaign wouldn’t pay

...

Colorado State Patrol also assisted in providing security for Clinton on Tuesday.

She WILL pay, if the providers of her security amount to only a one officer escort, and maybe a two cop security on location, both retired cops .

I mean, you get what you pay for. Right?

No pay means no play. Hillary can’t still be in charge of anything having to do with security personnel numbers.

She pretends to hate the rich 1 percent to the enemedia and other low information fools, then takes their money as she flies around in large private jets.

No mention of her carbon footprint.

There’s an encyclopedias worth of ‘taxpayers should not fund X’. That was once true when we were a Constitutional Republic, not the current Banana.

Please tell me why the sheriffs are obligated to provide security for a private event.

THE NY POST REPORTED: Hillary's State Dept staff arranged an event honoring famed designer Oscar de la Renta at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Ark...... while being paid by US taxpayers. De la Renta designed both Abedin’s and Chelsea Clinton’s wedding dresses, along with Clinton’s two inaugural gowns — which were displayed at the Clinton Library "retrospective."

=============================================

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley this week wrote to the State Department demanding more information about Abedin’s “special government employee” status — designated for workers with a unique skill — which allowed her to hold down three jobs simultaneously....all w/ ties to Clinton interests.

Sen Grassley suspects Abedin's unusual employment status violated US conflict-of-interest laws. NOTE Hillary gave Abedin special employment status in which Abedin worked simultaneously for: (1) the State Department, (2) the Clinton Foundation, (3) as a private consultant, and, (4) consulting Teneo, a global financial firm w/ Bill Clinton a member of the board.

One recently released State Dept email shows Abedin and Hillary pal Cheryl Mills in collusion, conspiring to force taxpayers to subsidize Abedin's travel expenses.

=========================================================

Hillary disingenuously said "she decided" to run for president while lounging around designer Oscar de la Renta's beach house in the Dominican Republic.

The de la Renta beach house.
