No guessing who that’s for. LOL

Thanks for the bump.

Since the feelings are set off in commas, they are subordinate to the campaign, which is the singular subject of the sentence.

I like what you posted. It’s hard now for me to even look at these other guys seriously, and a month ago I was not really paying attention because the GOP has broken my heart and shattered my trust for the last time.

It’s hard to express what I see Trump as having done already. It’s like we’ve been listening to programmed robots for years but now and then one of them does or says something that briefly gives us a glimmer of hope, (Gowdy, Paul, Walker, Cruz) soon followed by the robot taking charge again. Then, along comes a live person, hollering and yelling. Full of himself, unschooled in policy or the Constitution, but with an abiding love for America.

I don’t quite trust his thinking, don’t quite know what his core beliefs are, don’t quite see him in the oval office....and yet...after hearing him I feel as though I live in America again.

I have never demanded purity from politicians, nor expected it but until Trump I hadn’t SEEN with such clarity how much the political class is bought.

They are afraid, not of us, the citizens, but of K Street.

It’s one thing to know it in my head, it’s quite another to see it as we see it now with Trump.

Good post. I remain in that very small minority of FReepers who are simply against voting, but you should always question your own views. Not doing so is the hallmark of a zealot.

Maybe DT is the real deal? Who knows. It’ll be entertaining to watch, that’s for for sure and it’s obvious that he’s doing some good in the meantime.

"THE MEDIA'S FIVE STAGES OF GRIEF"

The writer incorrectly lists the five stages of grief the media collectively undergoes in its coverage of Trump. Let me type the list with the correct # 5.

1.) Denial
2.) Anger
3.) Bargaining
4.) Depression
5.) Eventual mass suicide

SE Mom thanks for the comments. I know others are having to wrestle with Trump. We’ll see how it goes. Over time he’ll confirm that he’s upped his game, or he’ll simply do the opposite.

Until then... = :^)

Thanks RKBA Democrat. We all come at this from different direction and I understand your point of view.

It will be entertaining if nothing else, this next year.

See you around.

The commas are beside the point. It is the ‘and’ which connects the two. Had he used ‘or’ the singular would have applied. With ‘and’ it is plural.

He’s still bargaining.

Well, if he's made it this far, he'll be at acceptance (or mass suicide) soon enough.

As stated....”The idea that his supporters are a single kind of Republican — an angry, but marginalized, group — increasingly seems WRONG.”...

Think they’ll get a clue eventually?

I heard Rove stumbling all over himself denying Trumps popularity is what it is...funny to watch...he looked like the fool he is!

I was up in Yankee country this past week. I made it a point to ask anyone who happened to be discussing politics near me what they thought of Trump. In most cases, the answer began with some variation of, “I used to think he was ...” and ended with some variation of, “but now I think he ...”

I am surprised at the public’s willingness to seemingly dismiss his personal life and past positions on key issues. I didn’t hear a single person say, “Oh, I love him. I’d vote for him in a heart beat.”

I was left with the impression that their minds are totally open to a Trump presidency at this point.

I remain as conflicted as ever where he is concerned. I don’t want to like him, but I find myself silently cheering him on.

He can have a refill on that helping any time he wants.

I just fine with that!

This has been a long time coming. Perhaps the party will find out they needed Conservatives all along, but were too blinded by this fool to grasp it.
