Trump and Cruz Partner To Strip Planned Parenthood's Funding
Breitbart ^ | 8/4/2015 | Dr. Susan Berry

Posted on 08/04/2015 1:05:33 PM PDT by conservativejoy

GOP 2016 contenders Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)96%. are joining forces in a confrontational intervention that intends to defund Planned Parenthood. As Breitbart TV previously reported, Trump announced he would support a government shutdown to defund Planned Parenthood following the release of a series of investigative videos allegedly showing the organization’s top medical personnel engaged in the sale of aborted baby body parts.

“And I was also in support — if the Republicans stuck together, you could have done it with Obamacare also,” Trump said on Monday’s Hugh Hewitt Show. “But the Republicans decided not to stick together.”

As Politico also reported, Cruz attempted the same strategy in 2013 in an effort to defund Obamacare, which resulted in a 16-day shutdown of the federal government, but still left President Obama’s signature healthcare reform very much alive.

Trump blamed Cruz’s Republican colleagues for leaving him in the lurch.

"And they left a few people out there Like Sen. Ted Cruz (R) TEX< " he continued. "You know they left a lot of the people that went in and really wanted to do the job. And you know what, if they would have stuck together, they would have won that battle"

Whose suit jacket is Cruz wearing—the Trumpster’s?

Yeah, that’s not much evidence of a partnership. But Trump took his praise of Cruz to a new level by saying he’d have stood with him on the budget and the rest of the GOP caused the failure.

I think the photographer should have made an adjustment before snapping the photo.

Tell that to VP Cheney.

It all depends on the president. Someone like Carter who was a micro-manager, I can’t even remember who is VP was.

Cruz is way too unpopular among the GOPe Senate sellouts to make it into leadership there on his own. It would be a thing of beauty, however, for him to become President of the Senate by becoming Trump’s VP.

The actual subject is excellent.

But I was laughing before I got halfway through the headline. I just had read the one about Christie and his condoms, then Trump and Cruz partnering to strip. Candidates, keep your clothing on.

My thought is that four years of Trump might be the fastest way to get a full conservative into the WH. (If he goes with Cruz)

It is not surprising that Politico reported incorrectly. The shutdown was due to Harry Reid and Barack Obama not allowing any of three budgets passed by the House of Representatives to come to a vote in the Senate. And for NO other reason.

God is preparing Teddy’s heart to say YES when Trump offers him the Veep gig.

I think Trump will also break the old mold for Veeps by giving Ted some heavy duty responsibilities, so that in 2024 it will be a shoo-in for Ted to step up to POTUS.

Carly Fiorina isn’t as conservative as I would like but she has been very good at handling the media and has been a real lioness about going after Clinton.

If Trump becomes President he should offer her a Cabinet post where she can shine and do good for America

That sort of thing is one of my pet peeves. I’m not a snob. I’m just a hayseed country hick who paid attention in class.

My biggest pet peeve along that line is people who attempt to make a word PLURAL by adding an apostrophe before the letter “s”. Thereby making it SINGULAR POSSESSIVE instead of plural.

Happy trails.
