DURANGO, Colo.- The Durango City Council is hoping to clarify that Durango is not a sanctuary city and that it never has been, despite its listing on a website as a municipality that shelters undocumented immigrants.
The Durango Herald reports the council will consider a resolution Tuesday to take an exact position on the issue.

Durango used to be my favorite little town to visit but even though it’s not a sanctuary city, it hosts deviant liberal types much like san fran. It’s not a very pleasant place, crimigrants or no.
Unfortunately, the Californication hippie culture that has destroyed the front range is seeping over here into Western CO. Sad to see, really. I love this state.
Ping!
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Yes, my wife and I were at one time planning to move there, then came the collapse. The invasion of kalifornian fags & druggies, the hijacking of CO politics...
Ft Lewis college. Brings in the weirdoes.
The Durango Herald is a first class liberal/progressive rag. They are constantly covering for liberal/progressive screw ups and of course they are doing it in this case.
This is my facebook reply at the end of the article in the Herald:
Something is not right here. I can remember when, in years past, and on a number of occasions, City Council members bragging that Durango was a Sanctuary City.
And why would Durango just appear on a Sanctuary City list?
I see a big CYA on the part of the City of Durango.

Or maybe we should just shoot them.
We could set up 'Sanctuary Cities' for people who do the killing... Oh wait, then we'd be as bad as they are... and we don't ever want to be as horrible and bad as liberal elites...
Oh well, almost had it there...
Live in Mesa County on the western slope of CO. This area is mostly conservative to the extent liberals feel uncomfortable here ... probably like I would feel as a conservative living in Boulder, CO or Santa Fe, NM. Durango, on the other hand ... possibly attributable to the cutesy name has attracted Californians for decades ... and we all know how that works. ;o(
Howdy, neighbor! :)
What have you (individually and collectively) done to make them unwelcome? < /rhetoric >
Never move to a town that’s learned to dress up as itself.
Shame, it’s pretty country.
For starters, I be sure to wear a sidearm everywhere I go. Makes the leftists piss themselves a little.
We bypassed Durango a few weeks ago on our trip. Went to Pagosa Springs instead. Shocked to see Pagosa now has a Walmart.
Definitely not the Durango or Pagosa of forty years ago. Now tourist traps surrounded by the most beautiful mountains.

My brother in Montrose does the same thing.
