There's always SOME reason, other than true faith in religion, behind anything the Nation of Islam or proponents of "Black Liberation Theology" does. Both are communist front movements masquerading as religious movements. Farrakhan's true hero is Mao tse-Tung, not "Allah". His goal is to recreate Mao's movement here in the US. Wright's (actually James Cone, the founder) "Black Liberation Theology" has long-ago been exposed as a communist front movement. I've been providing the proof of that here for yeas.
