Gulf Arab states publicly backed the Obama administration’s nuclear agreement with Iran, giving the White House a potentially important diplomatic win as it seeks to build support for its signature foreign policy initiative.
The positive response from the Gulf Cooperation Council—composed of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain—followed months of intense lobbying by the White House that included offers of increased arms sales, intelligence-sharing and military training.

That is an interesting thought.
My first thought was:
Amazing that people will help build their own gallows if you bribe them with the right stuff.
Yours probably is closer to the mark.
In any other business but politics “offers of increased arms sales, intelligence-sharing and military training” would be considered bribery.
Don’t worry. Under the treaty clause, we wouldn’t begin to glow until after the advice and consent of a supermajority of the Senate.
And under Twitch McConnell, the Senate wouldn’t fall on its back like an old whore and spread ‘em on Obama’s command. Oh no.

I am feeling we are toast. The final pin to my balloon
of optimism came with the Senate vote to continue funding PP.
I am also overwhelmed with the sense that we probably deserve to be toast.
BS. They will take any gifts of money or arms or almost anything else. But they are not stupid. They realize a nuclearized Iran right nearby.. bent on taking over their oil fields...is not a winning prescription for their long (or even near) term survival.
They have the money to purchase nukes, however, and you can bet your sweet booty that’s exactly what they’re doing
