When all the white folks leave, do they get to take everything white people have invented, discovered, and built with them?

Well, aside from the roads...

Oh, yeah, that, but besides that...

Hey great. I understand it can be difficult to get around.

But what about the "nicest part"?

THAT was what promoted the questions.

Sheesh!

Are all the parts the "nicest parts" -- because of the "you can't get there from here" kind of thing?

C'mon. Make sense, for a change.

I've been through the area a couple of times. Both times while driving motor freight. The first time delivered a load, and picked up a load, at the same place in Arnold. Some meat company that made sausage. I think I brought them a load of beef from Liberal, Kansas, and then took a load of sausage to Ft. Worth, Texas, iirc.

Another time was routed East through the Squirrel Hill tunnel by company dispatch. The top of the trailer (or maybe just the radio antennas) were ticking along on the 13' 6" overhead. The trailers run 13' 6" high, and it was empty that time... had to slow to about 20mph to make it through --- but dreaded trying to find the truck-route that bypasses the tunnel, and could possibly have been fined $50 by the company for going off route. On what map I had, it looked like it had more than a few turns and street changes to it too. It didn't appear to be easy to follow, and would have lots of intersection, stops & cross-traffic, and turns which must be followed precisely. It's not always easy to do in unfamiliar territory while driving a combination vehicle that stretches for more than 70'. Locals don't seem to understand that some right-hand corners --- a truck can't get around without needing half or more of a a next lane over, and some lefts are impossible if cars stop past the limit lines at the intersections --- and THEN those same people who get in the way and get all pissed off for being inconvenienced by a few seconds (less than a minute, all told) will 'f' things all up for a truck driver even further sometimes...like trying to pass on the right-hand side (try to squeeze through) or even drive under the foog'in trailer(!).

But never mind the difficulties of that, for now.

There is a "nicest part"?

And what the H prompted that statement anyway?

I searched the article, and the comments here for some mention of a section or "part" of Pittsburgh. Found NOTHING which even hints at distinguishing "a part" of Pittsburgh, unless it's in more than one county.

Drank a lot of Iron City beer at the Forbes & Shady Grill back in the day (1960’s). Pittsburgh was still “Big Smokey” back then. This mutt is a paid agitator

Diversity is achieved only when the number of minority residents reaches the limit of the financial ability of white people to support them through involuntary taxation.

Hi LabyBuck!

My ping list is the “Quinn in the Morning Show” “snap” list (as in ‘gumband’ snap!) It’s not a Pittsburgh ping list, per se, but all of us are fans of the old “Quinn & Rose Morning show” and they both have shows out of Pittsburgh. Here’s a link to my daily thread:

I think P.O.E. has a general Pennsylvania list, but you are welcome to join us. I love your freeper page! You’re our kind of gal! :-)

Aah, that's it.

Nice 'parts' of the city, I'd take it...

Thank you.

I’d say “kennels” but that would be insulting to dogs.
