For the first time, 14 Republican presidential candidates will be taking questions from Granite Staters at the Voters First Forum being hosted at Saint Anselm College tonight.
Readers of the New Hampshire Union Leader, along with partner news organizations in Iowa and South Carolina, sent thousands of responses when asked what they would like to hear the candidates talk about.
The top two on their minds: Immigration and the economy. Moderator Jack Heath will ask about those topics, among dozens of others, during the 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. event.
Taking part tonight will be Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Scott Walker, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, Bobby Jindal and Dr. Ben Carson. Donald Trump declined to participate.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabees campaign didnt respond; former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore missed the cutoff deadline.
A Senate vote will keep three participants in Washington. Cruz, Rubio, and Paul will be live from C-SPAN headquarters. Graham opted to appear at the forum.

Without Trump, this is a meaningless event of wanna be candidates. BTW, why did Trump opt to skip?
Trump was mad at the Union Leader (the sponsor) for an op-ed they ran about him a week or two ago.
I’ll be watching.
Many RINO’s have been complaining about Trump being in the Fox
Debate.
Trump will not attend. So, here is their chance to shine.
showman ship....(and I don’t mean that in a bad way)
10-1 there will be a lot of “loaded” (Gotcha) questions asked of those candidates.
The way the candidates handle the loaded questions is my main reason for wanting to watch.
It says 14 are taking part. Other than Trump, who else declined?
,,,,,,, isn’t New Hampshire a member of the E.U. ( European Union ) ???
Yes that’s what I read too. But why bother if you are Trump. Save it for Thurs. Half the candidates are not going to be in the Thurs debate anyway.
The Huckster declined.
And Gilmore was late to sign up.
They will pile on Cruz and Walker.
Will they even bother to ask Christie or Graham a question?
You can’t have a debate with 14 people. There’s just not enough time.
Let them fight it out among themselves until there is some clear front-runners (not A SINGLE front-runner - unless someone achieves over 50%)
Then let them debate.
I am hoping Trump gets a ridiculous question and walks off
I looked at CSPAN and CSPAN2, and it is not listed, but then I’m down here in Louisiana.
Huckaphony.
C-span will cover it live..
