Donald Trump is staking his run for U.S. president in part on a vow to protect American jobs. But this month, one of his companies, the elite Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Florida, applied to import 70 foreign workers to serve as cooks, wait staff and cleaners.

It does matter. The Trump-haters will show up en masse and tell us that business decisions mean he’s totally for unfettered illegal immigration and open borders.
Yet they can't be bothered to even due minimal due diligence when it comes to the current pretender.
They were applying for it legally and that’s what it takes to be competitive in his industries.

He does as a businessman, what he does to make his business work...this is not news or a revelation. If you ask him this he will say “I’m a businessman “. The same answer he gives when asked why he has given Money to democrats.

His Trump clothing and accessory lines are all manufactured abroad also, which is worse than importing workers IMO but I’m sure this will all come out in the debates.

I am sure the Donald did not make this decision himself. He should go on record as saying he will look into and straighten it out.
Importing workers when U-6 is at 22% is not good.
Well, that’s it. Trump followed the law to hire employees, making a decision that would economically benefit his corporation. I’m shocked!
Most of these visas are for attractive WHITE Eastern European waitresses and maids for his hotels. As well as WHITE Eastern European models for his modeling agency.
Much better than the La Raza uglies that are here illegally that no one wants to look at.
How does this stack up against Ted Cruz wanting to increase H1B visas five fold?
In other words, Trump companies are not hiring illegals under the table to save money. They are observing the immigration laws that we all want to see enforced.

Are these jobs American so-called “workers” won’t do? Perhaps these 70 jobs more than likely pay less than $15-$20/hour the said Americans would not consider doing for less.

They followed the law?
Trump himself has already brought it up, and in some cases made a pretty big deal about it.
