Carriers. Need to put four or so on each of our carriers.

Bettter materials and magnetic containment...
What if you bring a battleship out of mothballs and upgrade it to a next generation gunship role?
Any of those energy weapons able to reach up and touch satellites in orbit?
I love the idea of bringing the New Jersey back. No other ship in the world could sustain even a fraction of the punishment which she could withstand.
Put in a nuclear power plant. Replace a turret both fore and aft with rail guns.
And get NEW ammunition for guns in the remaining main turret. Nothing says “we’re here” like a barrage of 16” shells.
Nice projects for do-it-yourself-ers.
And I remember an article where they said that they don’t know how to make the armor plate on those dreadnoughts anymore.
I might have been wrong then too......you were ahead of the curve on that one. I only heard about it maybe 5 years ago.
Hillary’s server ?
That went right over my head, although I did see some of the news about Hillary using a personal mail account possibly to hide some official business. ;-)
Do you mean that maybe some sensitive info from an unsecured, private server got lost into the international wild? If so, that looks possible, too. I remember the scandal about foreign political donations during the ‘90s.
Yep....... wonder if the shared gmail account messages thru saved drafts never sent were discovered ?
I have a solution. I've seen guns with multiple barrels. Why not on a rail gun? Multiple barrels each with their own rails, spinning after firing allowing it to cool down until it revolves into position again. That ought to cut down on the heat versus using only one barrel with rails during a higher repetition rate. Sure it's more money and complexity but they're spending millions on it anyway, why not make it more efficient?
