Now if a dim wanted to, no problem. Of course the helicopter will be someone else’s or a gov-co bird with voluntary donation (huge and expected).

I don’t know the land situation there. It would seem that there would be enough room for him to do this off away from the main attractions. They may deem it to be unfair. I think that’s nonsense.

One more petty bureaucrat who can’t unwind her tangled cobweb of a mind to see a way clear to allow this.

I hope he finds a willing land owner who has property five feet from the fair grounds so he can rub this in their noses.

Is Terry Branstad a Walkerite or a Boooshie?

heh heh

State Fairgrounds wouldn’t have a suitable place, especially at this late date. The space around, which has a lot of room for parking, is still at a premium and is surrounded by housing in the city. Exactly as the story says, there would be room for a helicopter not far outside the Fairgrounds proper.

Mindy Williamson is a fine example of the government mentality that I hope Trump hates and crushes.

From a purely attraction perspective, what sort of fair organizer turns down someone wanting to give out free helicopter rides. Good for an extra thousand tickets everyday, easy.

I imagine Mr Trump is/ will be disappointed, but maybe it’s just as well. Anyone know if ‘’Beat Whitey Night’’ is still a fair ‘’activity’’?

Time: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Location: Main Gate

Experience the Fair from a new height!
Helicopter rides are $20 per person with up to two riders at a time! Hours of operation are from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm.
Don’t miss out on this one of a kind experience.

Let me be the FIRST to say it:

DONALD’S GONNA SUE!!!!

The ONLY plausible reason that they wouldn’t allow an insured vendor to give free rides is POLITICAL.

Trump doesn’t need to give helicopter rides, just have the kids be able to sit in it and then give them a hat/

This gives Trump an excuse to make an even grander gesture. Wonder what he’ll come up with.

No he may not! Unless he gives Jebbie one of his other choppers to give rides in, too.

As a several time Iowa State fairgoer, there is not room. No politics about it. Every square inch is accounted for-vendors, rides, whatever.

Supposedly Trump is going to get in front of a big crowd. I heard he is going to introduce Def Leppard at their show in front of the grandstand. I think that will be a crowd of around 8000 people. Ya gotta figure Def Leppard fans (based on the demographics of DL fans)would generally be receptive to Trump
