"Sanctuary City leaders are flouting the laws of the United States and that is unacceptable," Jindal says.

Should officials of sanctuary cities be held accountable for releasing criminal illegal aliens who murder, rape, or commit other crimes?

Yep. They should also have to pay compensatory damages out of their own personal bank accounts and forfeiture of thier personal holdings.

Silly. You can't hold leftists "accountable" for anything they do, or for anything that happens because of their stupidity and mismanagement.

And federal politicians, up to and including the president, as well and any agency secretaries or employees, any federal judges, and any politicians pandering to illegal aliens in any way at all.

I have had it with these vile whores.

I watched.Rick Perry this morning and he had an interesting point to add on the subject. He pointed to the feds as the root cause because of their lack of border enforcement put the cities in this position.

Did he have anything to say about governors pushing in state tuition for the illegals?

Per http://www.ncsl.org/research/immigration/in-state-tuition-and-unauthorized-immigrants.aspx

Excerpt from NCLS.org - “Twenty states offer in-state tuition to unauthorized immigrant students, 16 by state legislative action and four by state university systems. Sixteen state legislatures—California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington—enacted laws to allow in-state tuition benefits for certain unauthorized immigrant students.”

See link to chart and map here for other state benefits for illegals. http://www.ncsl.org/research/immigration/tuition-benefits-for-immigrants.aspx

Jindal was not quoted as mentioning tuition in this particular article. Isn’t instate tuition for illegals the same as sanctuary cities to a certain extent?

I was replying to a post commenting on Rick Perry’s pointing the finger at the feds for not enforcing the border. Didn’t have anything to do with Jindal.

To me the difference between sanctuary cities and offering in state tuition to illegals or their children is very murky. If I remember well, Perry’s reasoning here in Texas went something like, we shouldn’t punish the children for what their parents did. IMHO, we shouldn’t reward them for their parents law breaking.

Good information to correspond states supporting tuition to states with sanctuary cities.

Bottom line, you’ve made an excellent point as has Perry. Not enforcing the border causes huge problems, one of them being the creation of sanctuary cities...all because immigration laws not enforced = lawlessness.

mayors and their city councils certainly, but not one federal dollar should go to any sanctuary city or sanctuary state. if they don’t wanna abide by federal law, they shouldn’t be shouldered with the burden of abiding federal dollars.
