SYRACUSE, N.Y. – About 85 protesters filled the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood in Syracuse today for an anti-abortion rally fueled by recent undercover videos about the sale of fetal tissue from abortions.
Protesters demanded that Congress eliminate taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood and investigate the organization for possible violation of federal law against selling fetal tissue for profit.
The protest in Syracuse, one of dozens slated for today around the nation, drew participants from as far away as Yonkers. But many were local protesters who are regulars on the sidewalk at 1120 E. Genesee St., having prayed and demonstrated against Planned Parenthood many times before.
Louis Ragonese, 80, of Liverpool, said he protests in front Planned Parenthood about five times a year. A former president of the Syracuse Right-to-Life Association, Ragonese has taken part in protests for at least two decades.

Conservatives don’t protest. They are not activists. We want to live and let live. But it’s time to get up and say something. I applaud these people, Activists or protesters. Doesn’t matter anymore what the media calls them.
