I grew up listening to cklw. They served a full menu of the latest music. Their Top 100 Hits kept me locked onto my transistor radio.
I was a few years after the glory years but still remember it fondly.
I was listening when Super Max reported that Elvis was dead.
And I have a huge appreciation for 70’s R&B. It’s pathetic how few black “artists” can belt out real songs like they did then, especially the women.
