Ted Cruz Ping?
The GOP will no longer get my vote. It is in a full spin and we may as let it hit the ground and die (die, die, die) and we can hopefully rebuild a useful party following civil war II.
Good article!
Right now Cruz gets my vote if he makes it.
Amen to that.
It remains strong of Free Republic. Hope that ends soon too.
You always find a reason to vote GOP no matter what so that doesn’t mean much.
There is little that is inherently conservative about Trump. He’s high in the polls because he isn’t a politician more than because of his stands.
My vote will go
For sure:
Walker
Cruz
Probably
Trump
Maybe
Fiorina
I simply will not vote for any of the rest. Period.
Focus on action in Congress, not a horse race really just starting out of the gate.
Excellent!
I like that Trump is driving the GOPe and the Democrats crazy but I do not trust the man. He has too much history of kissing DemonRat A$$
Yeah like when he donated to Hillary $100,000 which is exactly 0.001% of Trumps wealth. It is exactly the same as having a million dollars in assets and giving $10 to some one. Piddly small, niggardly small, and meaningless in context.
But of course you may not have million dollars in bank, so you might not be able to understand to the proportions.
A long time ago there was a TV program called “Queen For A Day”.
It ended around 1964.
Now we have establishment republicans playing a game called “Conservative For A Day”.
It ends the day after they are elected.
Whats to focus on? All the lesser evils that will back Barry “no matter what” just as they were elected to do? I mean they DID promise to work with the guy.
Until the elections there is ZERO chance we have to change squat thanks to people abandoning principle. Accept it and get your/our ducks in a row for your next chance to vote like an American instead of a Democrat.
Oh? Did that money get used against conservatives or did the Dem put it in her lockbox?
Trump, and to a lesser extent, Fiorina, present a conundrum. No person “inside” the political system is going to change the system; they are too much a part of it and it got them where they are. So it is too much to expect them to turn on it.
But the political system, meaning primarily the gigantic parasitic bureaucracy that has grown so large, powerful and pervasive that it recognizes no restraint on it power, needs significant pruning. The person who is going to do that must come from outside of it. That’s Trump and Fiorina.*
But Trump has negatives; his arrogance, his ego, his previous acceptance of liberal causes and dogmas are troubling. What are we really buying with Donald Trump?
So that’s the conundrum. We are the contestant on Monty Hall’s “Let’s Make a Deal.” We already have the broken down farm tractor from Door #3. Monty is offering us to trade it for what’s in the box.
Do we make the trade?
*The footnote here is that I believe both Cruz and Walker are exceptions, and that’s why I would vote for either of them. Cruz has consistently stood for conservative limited government philosophies. Walker actually took on entrenched bureaucracies and sacred cow special interests in a blue state, and defeated them. So they may be exceptions. But if neither pans out in the primary process, we may be left with the Trump conundrum.
