Why is this a minefield for Lynch? Her job is to administer the law, and investigate possible violations. And she is to do so impartially and without passion or prejudice. And she is to do so and let the chips fall where they may, wherever the trail leads.

Are we so jaded or so political and crony based in this country, that we are making excuses for a Democrat AG having trouble investigating a case involving a fellow Democrat???

I agree. That was so bizarre you have to wonder what the editor was thinking; it shows that the real pain for them is not the damage done by the law breaking, or the exposure of US intentions to our adversaries. No, for them it’s the conflicted feeling of supporting your political party or the laws of the US government.
