Pray for Our American Heroes and Nation

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,
And His Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
”I am the First and I am the Last;
Besides Me there is no God.”
Isaiah 44: 6

[Faith]

Holy God,

We confess Your lovingkindness and Your praises, Lord, according to all that You have bestowed on us. Surely we are blessed because we know You. Let us greatly rejoice in You, and may our souls be joyful in You. For You have clothed us with the garments of salvation, and covered us with the robe of righteousness.

Lord, we hear many rumors of wars and there is great fear in this world. Yet we know that You are God and You take care of those who have chosen to place their trust in You. You are the First and the Last----our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts. We commit our families to You for Your protection. And we commit to You our beloved military men and women who stand in our earthly defense. We ask You to place a shield around them, Lord, and a hedge of protection from all those who hate America. May our troops sense Your presence in their spirits so that they may not fear what man may do to them. Keep them as the apple of Your eye and make them to dwell in the shadow of Your wings until these calamities are past. And may Your people, Israel, be blessed and protected this day and always.

How comforting it is to know that You have gone to prepare a place for us----a place where fighting and strife shall cease, where those who abuse power will be no more, and where there are no more tears, sickness, or sorrow. Lord, help us to do our part to advance Your Kingdom so that we can hasten the day of Your return. Even so, Lord, come quickly. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
