President Obama on Thursday pledged to use his last 18 months in office to work on gun control, calling it “the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied.”
“If you ask me where has been the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied, it is the fact that the United States of America is the one advanced nation on earth in which we do not have sufficient, common-sense gun safety laws – even in the face of repeated mass killings,” he told the BBC in an interview.
“And if you look at the number of Americans killed since 9/11 by terrorism, it’s less than 100. If you look at the number that have been killed by gun violence, it’s in the tens of thousands," Obama continued.
“For us not to be able to resolve that issue has been something that is distressing, but it is not something that I intend to stop working on in the remaining 18 months.”

And how many of the tens of thousands killed by gun violence were killed by black men with guns? How many victims were black? How many have died in the high profile mass shootings vs. How many are killed by ongoing ghetto gang violence???
What are we going to do about this? We say “from my cold dead hands”-do people understand that it may very well come down to just that? We couldn’t or didn’t stop the SC from upholding CommieCare, or sodomite mirage, what will we actually do about this? We will have to make a show of numbers somehow, concerted, to be effective, however we do it.

Right, and in places like Baltimore and Chicago, the city leaders actually bring the fox (the gangs) in to guard the henhouse (the law-abiding citizens). Look at what the nation’s leadership is doing. They are busy passing more laws and regularions to ensure that law-abiding citizens are lawbreakers, in order to confiscate our Second Amendment right-our firearms.
You are not allowed to ask those questions...might uncover some facts that would displease those seeking to take our guns.

The Constitution isn’t protecting us, not when our representatives and the highest court are willing to “interpret” it or just ignore it in order to advance the agenda. They’ve shown that repeatedly.

My Nephew, whom I hunt with trap shoot with, etc. said last year “ I don’t understand why ANYONE needs a thirty round magazine to protect against a burglar” My answer was, we may. He said what is the point? I said the cops, the gubmint have them, too. His answer? So why do we need them? At that point, I finished my beer and left. Dems believe a gun is for recreation, not insurrection or protection of our country.
We are on an 18 month approach to a fearsome landing destination.

Well, why not? After all, Chicago and its firearms control laws are such paragons of success in terms of dealing with the criminal element (sarc, big time).
