The clown known as Al Sharpton has more influence than I would have believed possible a few years ago.
It’s not only that he a frequent visitor and race consultant to the White House, which I raised my eyebrows out, but quickly forgot. Or that he’s been given prominence as a commentator on PMSNBC.
What got my attention was a newsclip last week where he was walking past the press with the Baltimore Mayor. The press was throwing questions at her. She had a “deer in the headlights” look, didn’t answer anything, and kept her eyes fastened on Al for cues. What little was said, and it was of the “Not now, we’ve got to move along” variety, was said by him. He was the mouthpiece.
Anyone else catch that?
