Underwood did not write the song. It was written by two homosexual males.

OK, I'll take that, although it's from 1988 (not the "last 10-15 years" I asked for) and it's about him getting sick of her complaining (rather than her cheating). But admit, it took you a while to find that, which was my point. 8-)
I think I'll play it at the party my wife and I are having for our anniversary.
"Used To Love Her"
I used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, Mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
I had to put her six feet under
And I can still hear her complain
I used to love her, Oo, yeah
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, Oo, yeah
But I had to kill her
I knew I'd miss her
So I had to keep her
She's buried right in my backyard
Oh yeah, Oo yeah, whoa, oh yeah
I used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, Mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
She bitched so much, She drove me nuts
And now I'm happier this way, yeah
Whoa, oh yeah
I used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, Mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
I had to put her, Oo, six feet under
And I can still hear her complain

Murder is not acceptable, but adultery isn’t acceptable either. Her rage is understandable.

No, the narrator of Cray’s song was punished for his crime, as was Joe (to a lesser extent; he’s free, but on the run). The narrator of Underwood’s garbage is celebrated AND is not even married to the guy.
People tried to pull that crap to excuse misogynist gangsta rap. “Marty Robbins sang about killing his woman over infidelity in a cowboy song!” Yeah, and it was narrated from a jail cell while he waited to be hanged at dawn.

Apparently he married his wife when she was 19, so that seems to be his sweet spot.

Yeah, those crazy psycho-bitches.
They’re all that way, aren’t they?
To: Fightin Whitey
Yeah, those crazy psycho-bitches. Theyre all that way, arent they? Nope. My wife isn't. Possibly because she understands that being the crazy one is MY job.
Do you regard the murderous wife at the top of the thread as an example of sane, rational female behavior? If so, consider the possibility of hanging out with a different crowd.

Murder is not acceptable, but adultery isnt acceptable either. Her rage is understandable. Anger is understandable. Responding violently is unacceptable.
If the sexes were swapped, and it was the husband trying to kill the wife over her cheating, would you say "His rage is understandable"? If you said that in public, your female friends would ostracize you, and your company's HR department would get complaints about your presence creating a "hostile work environment". Which they would act upon.
Unless you're female in real life, in which case you would get a pass.

I don’t regard anything about this situation as sane and rational: especially not the punk pervert lying husband who beds teeny-boppers rather than his lawful wife, nor the sort pompous, self-doubting jackasses who sympathize with him.
Don’t worry, “Papa”. I have never “hung out” with your sort of crowd.

Actually just came back from an amazing weekend date in the mountains and stumbled into my office.
No internet or phones for miles. Thank God

It is an interesting sign of the perverted times we live in that this entirely understandable, very human, rage used to be a factor in mitigation of the crime of murder, when we have transformed into an aggravating one.
That's the message of Big Government. "It is wrong to feel what you feel. Feel something else instead. And if you don't, here come the judge".

That's the message of Big Government. "It is wrong to feel what you feel. Feel something else instead. And if you don't, here come the judge". It's OK to feel enraged. ACTING upon that rage by trying to murder your spouse DOES legitimately bring in the cops and the courts.
Do you have an issue with that?

Agree it is understandable. But we cannot give much leniency to “angry” people every time they attempt murder. Nomatter how justified it seems.
Committing murder because of anger is NO BETTER than a man who’s sexual feelings got the better of him.
