F.D.R. Warned Us About Public Sector Unions

The author of the article also notes: "...[C]ollective bargaining in government is now widespread. As a result unions can now insist on laws that serve their interests – at the expense of the common good."

Yeah - danged straight! Public sector unions in the USofA are anathema to liberty, and were recognized by one-and-all as such until JFK signed such into law.

Scott Walker is on the right side of history on this issue.

He wins in part because nearly all Independents and many Joe Lunchbucket Democrats vote for him, even though the platform he presents is conservative.

You can't win re-election in solid blue Milwaukee and in blue-purple Wisconsin without the votes of those who do not normally vote Republican.

And trust me on this....no "real man", no matter how solidly Democrat, will pull the lever for Hillary. They might say they support her to pollsters and such, but, in the privacy of the voting booth they just won't be able to do it. I think the same factor was in play during the last Governor's election....the unlikable millionaire Mary Burke polled much higher than the reality of the electoral outcome.

“There is no other situation that I can think of where workers are allowed to vote for and donate to their bosses who decide their raises and employment status. Public sector unions are inherently a gross conflict of interest and should be abolished.”

“The state branch of the National Education Association, once 100,000 strong, has seen its membership drop by a third. The American Federation of Teachers, which organized in the college system, saw a 50 percent decline. The 70,000-person membership in the state employees union has fallen by 70 percent.”

For this reason alone Walker is a viable option.

>>>Sixty-five years ago, another man from Wisconsin made himself a national reputation by frightening the country about the menace of communists, though the actual danger they represented was negligible.<<<<

Only 100 million killed. The definition of negligible.
