The reasons behind this year’s shocking surge in executions are unclear, but the majority of those put to death in 2015 were convicted on drug charges. […]

Amnesty International said in Iran, death sentences were handed down by courts “completely lacking in independence and impartiality.”

“They are imposed either for vaguely-worded or overly-broad offenses, or acts that should not be criminalized at all, let alone attract the death penalty,” the organization said. …

Well, we’re still in the 7th month... and no, I’m not referring to pregnancy.

“The Iranian authorities have put to death nearly 700 people so far this year”........

How does that compare with those killed by ISIS? Aren’t ISIS and Iran on the same side?

The overwhelming majority of those executed are muslims, right?

That being the case, it appears I have completely run out of “Giveashit”; although I DID just receive a new shipment of freshly picked “Whatdoyouexpect”.

ISIS and Iran are on opposite sides. ISIS is Sunni, Iran is Shiite. In Syria, Iran supports the government side.

So, the death of people like Neda Agha-Soltan is just fine by you, I take it.

I did not say it was “fine”. But I have a lot more to worry about than how the despotic Iranian regime is treating its own people - like, for instance, how the despotic U.S. regime is treating its own people.

If the Iranians are tired of being savaged by their government it is their job to do something about it, not mine.

Yes, like back in 2009, when Obama refused to back then up and instead gave tacit support to the Mullahs.
