Where’s the beef? Fast-food franchisees pan NY wage hike

Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to have it his way with New York’s fast-food industry—and restaurant owners aren’t loving it.

Franchise owners say they’re considering a lawsuit against Cuomo’s plan to raise the minimum wage in their eateries to $15 an hour, arguing that it is not fair or legal to be saddled with such a significant increase in labor costs that won’t apply to retail, landscaping, child care or other traditionally low-wage industries.

“Singling out fast food restaurants while ignoring other industries that hire workers who are paid under $15 is unfair and discriminatory, harms New York workers, and puts some New York businesses—including mine and my fellow New York McDonald’s franchisees—at a competitive disadvantage,” said Jack Bert, who owns seven locations in Queens. …

Liberals will support the increase, but then get exemptions for their own businesses.

In a sane state a proposal like this would never even see the light of day.

The Communists are in charge in every major area of NY State. Which means what’s right or wrong, legal or illegal, Constitutional or Unconstitutional - none of that matters in areas that advance their agenda.

They cannot simply outlaw fast food places, so they do this instead.

From the article:

Cuomo vowed to continue to push for a broader minimum wage increase but makes no apologies for going around the Legislature when necessary. "I am the executive," Cuomo said Thursday. "Therefore I use executive power."

Apparently the totalitarian habits of the occupant of the white house are rubbing off on his fellow democrats. The legislative branch is now irrelevant at both the national and the state level.

Try to imagine the apoplectic outrage if Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal or Greg Abbott had made a similar statement.

I hope Cuomo understands touch screen order takers don't pay taxes...

The now unemployed person it replaced will have to suck off the (taxpayer) government teat...

Lose, lose for the employee and government

New York and the NeoEuropa states north and east must be purged from the union. They are no longer America
