Op-Ed: It’s Time to Stop Pretending on Radical Islam

Op-Ed by Gov. Bobby Jindal in Conservative Review

Let’s be honest here. The President’s inability to say the words Radical Islam is threatening our national security and the safety of the American people. It’s time to stop pretending.

Radical Islam has brought terror and death across the Middle East and the world — and on American soil – yet this president calls it just “violent extremism” or something similar. He gets it wrong nearly every time.

Yesterday, Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron got it right. He had the courage to say what President Obama will not, when he said that, “We need to confront and expose Islamist extremism as a belief system that glorifies violence and subjugates people.” This leaves President Obama as pretty much the only leader in the free world who refuses to speak the truth about Radical Islam.

Our President’s political correctness and fear of speaking the truth are no longer amusing, they are just plain dangerous, because you cannot defeat an enemy you refuse to name.

President Obama cannot claim to be working with our allies when he refuses to join them in naming our common enemy. He has proven himself incapable as Commander-in-Chief.

This is one case where President Obama should lead from behind – he should follow the lead of our British ally, name the enemy and resolve to destroy Radical Islam.

Defeating Radical Islam can be done and must be done. It will take American leadership and military strength, and it will take leadership from Muslim leaders as well as the West. Right now, we have neither.

We also must strengthen our immigration policy. If people want to come to America in order to use our freedoms to undermine our freedoms – we have the absolute right to say no thanks. This should be obvious to everyone and is basic common sense.

If you claim that you want to carry out these attacks because of your so-called religion, that’s ridiculous and we don’t have an obligation to honor your request. There are many American citizens who are Muslim and who believe in America, and they are tremendous.

But let’s not pretend that there are not many people in the world today who are Radical Islamists – who use their religion to justify savage violence and treating women like property.

We should not let people like that immigrate to our country, we would be fools to do that. And only a lemming would fail to see that Europe has a terrible problem in this regard.

They have too many immigrants who do not want to assimilate into their culture, but instead want to establish their own culture and laws in direct opposition. That is just fact, and everyone knows it, and I will not be intimidated on this.

We have no idea how many people are being wooed by Radical Islam, with the sick and deceitful promise of glory in the afterlife if they will murder innocent people.

Frankly, our President needs to be honest about it and take action to protect our people. That’s his job.

He must also call on Islamic leaders to do more than simply condemn violence. Muslim leaders must make clear that anyone who commits acts of terror in the name of Islam is in fact not a martyr who will enjoy a reward in the afterlife, but rather is going straight to Hell. If they refuse to say this, then they are condoning these acts of barbarism. There is no middle ground.

Islamic leaders must put a stop to this, and it’s not too much to ask.

But President Obama has failed to demand this of Islamic leaders. Instead, he hides behind political correctness. He’s afraid of calling a spade a spade, but it’s simply stating the truth. And the reality is that Radical Muslim leaders benefit from this free pass. They can continue wooing followers with the siren song of a new caliphate and glorious afterlife. This must come to an end.

One of the great things about America is it doesn’t matter if you’ve been here five minutes or a hundred years. For the most part, folks that come here want to be Americans. They understand and value that America offers an opportunity at a better life. They join our military, they start companies, and they work to create a better community. That is the American Dream.

What’s not acceptable is people that want to come and conquer us. These immigrants want to come here and change our fundamental culture and values and set up their own. That’s not immigration, it’s invasion.

Of course, the politically correct crowd will call you a racist for saying things like that. But it’s reality. This is the particular threat we face. And if we’re not serious about this, we’re going to see more lone-wolf actors.

Europe has learned this lesson the hard way. They have not assimilated many of their immigrant populations and the result is that there are pockets of immigrant communities that never really “get” what the country they’ve moved to is all about. That is not America. In America, we are all Americans because being American is about a set of values: hard work, freedom, and opportunity.

But the first step to fixing this problem is identifying it. We first have to call Radical Islam what it is — evil. I hope the President steps up, does the right thing and helps us defeat Radical Islam once and for all.

Obama is so thick with Islam that he couldn’t bring himself to fly the flag at half staff, or call the families of the slain servicemen. How in the HELL can we expect him to actually FIGHT the Islamic menace?

It’s also time to understand there is no such thing as a moderate muslim. It’s time to teach all Americans what islam teaches its adherents about how they should feel about and treat unbelievers (infidels and Jews).

There isn’t a muslim alive who has not been taught to covert us, hate us, kill us, lie to us and not take us as friends.

There is no Radical Islam. There is Islam. All the authority you need to cut off hands, arms and heads, marry 10 year olds and rape women when it suits you is right there. You don't need to be Radical. You just need to be a Loyal Muslim.

Ya think? He’s the pimple on the butt of America. He’s made more people cuss than anyone or anything I know. And he’s still here because people can’t admit they’re wrong or they earn so much they’re bubble shielded from the realities of the world. He’s overstayed his welcome as an undocumented illegal who borrowed someone else’s soial security number and the only person who could prove or disprove he was born in the U.S. dired in a plane crash where she was the only one of 9 who died. So Damien Thorne, Manchurian Candidate, or Rosemary’s Baby? Take your pick.

How “radical” is the Islam he’s talking about—and so how accurate is his use of the term?

A majority of Muslims in Pakistan, for example, support death to apostates.

Jindal is doing the same thing he’s accusing Obama of doing - not describing the situation for what it is for political reasons.

What’s the major difference between Islam and Christianity?

Once you are baptized a Christian, if you decide that you’ve changed your mind about Christianity, you can renounce Christianity. Nobody is going to try to kill you for committing an act of apostacy.

What is the difference between Islam, and say, the KKK?

Well, you can quit the KKK without fearing for your life. There a lot of other differences, but that’s the major difference.

What is the difference between Islam and MS-13, the Crips, or the Bloods?

None. There is no difference. All four groups above have as their central tenant - “Once in, never out”

As such, Islam isn’t a religion. It’s a gang disguised as a religion, and not all that well. No religion can substitute coercion for faith, and the Quran expressly commands coercion as a tool for proselytization.

Since Islam isn’t a religion, they aren’t tax exempt, and their mosques are subject to the same tactics we’d use against gangs. Clinton was gagging to treat terrorism as a crime. The irony is that he could have by declaring Islam to be a gang and using gang task forces against them.

Moreover, all mosques would be subject to RICO statutes, which would be both convenient and appropriate.

Jindal could have called it like it is, but he didn’t.

Islam is an armed gang roaming the streets and committing crimes. They should be treated as such.

It’s time to stop pretending there is a radical Islam.
Read the Koran.
ISIS is Islam.
They are following the instructions of their prophet.
They are following the example of their prophet.
Written in the Koran.
It ain’t holy.

John Quincy Adams

In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust, by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE.

Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. That war is yet flagrant; nor can it cease but by the extinction of that imposture, which has been permitted by Providence to prolong the degeneracy of man. While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good will towards men. The hand of Ishmael will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. It is, indeed, amongst the mysterious dealings of God, that this delusion should have been suffered for so many ages, and during so many generations of human kind, to prevail over the doctrines of the meek and peaceful and benevolent Jesus (Blunt, 1830, 29:269, capitals in orig.).

Didn’t Obama just make a secret deal with an Islamic nation? Or is Iran a Christian nation?

Bobby Jindal likes to think on the “positive” side of things. To me, he’d made a great leader, because he’s brilliant, of course, but also he calls a spade a spade; he’s not the least bit intimidated by Obama or Islamic terrorism; many are.

On the prolife issue, Louisiana, for the fifth year in a row is the most prolife state in the nation. That makes me listen up right there to everything else Bobby has to say.

Stop using the term “radical islam” , there is no “radical islam” or “moderate islam, there is only islam .

The only difference between a Radical muslim and a Moderate muslim is the distance they place between themselves and the bomb

That is true, talking about “moderate muslims” is as oxymornic as talking about “moderate nazis” in the third reich

I think he is still constrained, to some extent, by the backlash that he *knows* will come from being candid about the challenges we face. It would have been better, imho, to call for an end to Muslim immigration & maybe a prohibition of the practice of Islam on American soil, but we have the First Amendment that prohibits us from doing so.

Islam, like the communists- & anyone else who seeks to undermine America, have figured out how to use the First Amendment & our other guarantees *against* us, leaving us powerless. Unfortunately, as it pertains to race, the communists & Islam- literally, foreign agents & naturalized or American born Arabs* & ‘nation of Islam, have joined forces (Ferguson, Baltimore, & elsewhere.

We need to figure out how to stop this because it’s, apparently, a fatal flaw.

*google Bassem Masri. If you’re not familiar with him, it will open your eyes. He is not alone.
