>>Does he have an answer for these issues? Probably not, but at least people are once again talking about them, something the Politically Correct crowd had successfully stopped...<<

So, in your mind the “conversation” no longer covered the national debt, illegal aliens, the VA scandal, Obamacare, gun control, etc., and it took Trump to highlight them? Funny, but I seem to recall all sorts of discussion on those very issues. What Trump brings to the table is bombast, and little else. Certainly, he doesn’t bring credibility, for he’s reversed positions on nearly every issue he now discusses.

To my mind, Trump’s acceptance by many, and not just conservatives either, reflects the outright frustration with the average American over the open borders policy of this administration. People have had it, and they like having someone like Trump rail on and on about it unapologetically, without backing down. There are several far more credible candidates and some of them are no doubt going to be even stronger advocates for closing the border after the reception Trump has been getting.

But they are unlikely to make the mistake of calling them all rapists and thieves, and won’t find sales of pinatas in their image selling out in Mexico. His bombast might satisfy many, but it’s hardly a formula for winning the presidency.

Question. Would killing the corp taxes at the same time offset the one time 14% tax on wealth over 10 million?

There are those who believe in liberty and those who don’t. Not even a Democrat would actually push a wealth tax. So I ask you - do you believe in liberty?

There are many who have low income but massive wealth. Are we to take their wealth, which they have already paid taxes on, and use it to serve the state? Is this the USSR?

I’m not suggesting anything. Merely asking a question.

I don’t know what offsets what. I just don’t like the idea of any new type of tax. Even if a sales tax is more theoretically sound than an income tax I think that in the end both would be maxed out. Better to not introduce any new tax.

I recall a bunch who believed in Liberty
and mutually pledged to each other their Lives, their Fortunes, and their Sacred Honor.

They were willing to risk it all in order to create a new country. There is a difference between risking something and guaranteeing that something is taken from you. Trump wants to guarantee that I have wealth taken away - not to start a new country but to pay for every government boondoggle we have sen in the past 40 years.
